Chicago rickshaw drivers for the children of Kosovo and Metohia
As another summer season in Chicago transitions into the cold Chicago winter, the Serbian rickshaw drivers community has decided once again to give back.
The group of young, hard working Serbian men who peddle their rickshaws in the Chicago heat to earn a living decided to pool together some of their hard earned wages and make a donation to help Serbian children in Kosovo and Metohija.
We had the pleasure of meeting with those exemplary young men and receive their donation of $2,080 for struggling Serbian families.
These young men who work two or even three jobs and use the money they earn from driving rickshaws to help build their own future, have once again remembered where they came from and how much their help can mean to the children of Kosovo and Metohija.
On behalf of the Serbs for Serbs family, we would like to thank all of the Serbian Rickshaw Drivers of Chicago for their tremendous contribution for a third year in a row.
