Humanitarian Evening Šumadija in Chicago

A charity event was held on April 26. in Chicago, in the ceremonial hall of the New Gračanica Monastery. The event was organized by the Humanitarian Foundation Šumadija from Chicago for the second consecutive year, bringing together members of the Serbian community with the common goal of helping families in need.

Approximately 300 donors from Chicago and surrounding areas attended the event. In addition to direct donations, funds were raised through a humanitarian auction featuring a signed jersey and basketball of the best Serbian basketball player, Nikola Jokić, which attracted significant interest and support from the attendees.

Thanks to the generosity of the donors, a total of $15,000 was collected. The funds will be used to assist the Arsić, Stanić, and Azdejković families, with the support being distributed through the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs.

The event once again demonstrated the strength of solidarity, unity, and humanitarian spirit within the Serbs in Chicago.
