Second year in a row Trojka iz bloka was held in Phoenix
On November 24, for the second year in a row, the sports and humanitarian tournament Trojka iz bloka was held in Phoenix, on the grounds of the University of Phoenix. In addition to the three-point shooting competition, the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs organized a 3-on-3 basketball competition for the first time, in which the Las Vegas team Snovi won out of 9 teams that entered against the home team Zitko basket from Phoenix.
The three-point shooting competition brought together about 40 competitors, and this year’s winners were Novak (first place), Luka (second place) and Rade (third place). In addition to the competitors, more than 250 friends and donors of our organization responded to the invitation to this humanitarian event, and on that occasion a total of 7,410 donations were collected, which will be directed to socially vulnerable families throughout the Balkans.
We owe special thanks to the clergy and parishioners of the Church of St. Nicholas in Phoenix, Filip and Danijelo Krstić, as well as to the Pizza Star company, which made incredibly delicious savory and sweet pizzas on site, which the children were especially delighted with.
