Serbian Folklore Festival Folklorijada in Chicago – A Successful Humanitarian Weekend

The traditional Serbian folklore festival Folklorijada was held on Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31, on the grounds of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago. This important cultural event gathered more than 3,000 attendees from across the United States and Canada, featuring performances by 18 folklore ensembles throughout the two-day program.

At the invitation of the organizers, members and volunteers of the Serbs for Serbs from Chicago took part in the event with a dedicated charity booth. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the organization’s mission and support its work by purchasing T-shirts and flags.

Thanks to the generosity of the attendees, a total of $2,210 in donations was raised to support socially vulnerable families through the Serbs for Serbs humanitarian programs.

We extend our gratitude to all organizers, participants, volunteers, and donors who helped give this event a meaningful humanitarian dimension. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
