Serbs for Serbs at the Serb Fest in Orlando
On the property of the Sveta Petka church in Orlando, Florida from 11-13 October, a three-day traditional Serbian festival, Serb Fest, was held, and the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs had its promo stand right next to the church itself.
Despite hurricane Milton hitting Florida and Orlando itself the day before the festival, the festival still took place. Due to the difficult weather conditions, volunteers from Texas and other parts of Florida who came to help prepare and organize the Serbs for Serbs stand.
In this way, we would like to thank Father Ljubisa, the church board of St. Petka and the parishioners from Orlando, who managed to repair the damage caused by the hurricane in less than 36 hours and ensure that the festival was successfully held, which enabled our organization to attend and present its work and vision to the guests of the festival. With the help of donors and guests of the Serbs Fest festival, a total of $2,570 in donations was raised to help vulnerable families with many children throughout the Balkans.
Children are our future! No surrender!
