Trojka iz Bloka in San Marcos – Sports, Charity, and a Day of Togetherness

On Saturday, September 20, during the traditional Roštilijada held in the courtyard of St. Petka Serbian Orthodox Church in San Marcos, the humanitarian sports event “Trojka iz Bloka” took place, organized by Serbs for Serbs USA.

The event gathered a large number of visitors, and with 22 competitors participating in the three-point shooting contest, along with the generosity of donors and supporters, a total of $1,490 was raised to help socially vulnerable families through Serbs for Serbs aid programs.

Since the tournament was part of the festive Roštilijada, the entire day was filled with a warm, lively, and family-friendly atmosphere. The smell of barbecue, children’s laughter, friendly gatherings, and exciting basketball competition turned the event into more than just a tournament — it became a celebration of community, tradition, and compassion.

The Serbian community in San Marcos once again showed its unity and generosity, making the event a true success. “Trojka iz Bloka” at the Roštilijada continues to grow each year, bringing together more and more people with big hearts.
