SERB FEST IN CHICAGO RAISES $4,016 TO SUPPORT FAMILIES ACROSS THE BALKANS

The traditional Serb Fest, one of the major events bringing together the Serbian community in Chicago and across the United States, was held from August 7 to 9, 2026, on the grounds of the Church of the Resurrection in Chicago, on North Redwood Drive. Over the course of three days, the festival welcomed thousands of visitors, who gathered to enjoy fellowship, traditional Serbian food, culture, and a rich program of activities. For the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs, the event was another opportunity to join forces with the Serbian community in America and continue supporting families in need.

Thanks to the generous support of festival visitors, a total of $4,016 in donations was raised during the event. Guests supported the work of Serbs for Serbs through direct donations, as well as by purchasing Serbs for Serbs T-shirts, hoodies, and flags.

The funds raised will be used to support socially vulnerable families across the Balkans as part of the organization’s 2026 humanitarian assistance program.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Church of the Resurrection in Chicago, which hosted this important event, as well as to the representatives of the Serb Fest organizing team, who have been inviting and welcoming Serbs for Serbs to this traditional festival for many years.

We are also deeply grateful to the Serbs for Serbs volunteers, whose time, effort, and dedication made it possible for the organization to participate in the festival, connect with members of the community, and raise funds for families in need.

Their commitment, together with the generosity of the Serbian community, allows the humanitarian mission of Serbs for Serbs to continue reaching more families across the Balkans.
