Trojka iz bloka in New York Brings Basketball and Humanity Together – $3,926 Raised for the Bižić Family from Šid

Organized by the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs USA, another successful Trojka iz bloka charity sports event was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the basketball courts in Astoria Park, New York City.

The event opened with an exciting 3-on-3 basketball tournament, followed by the traditional three-point shooting competition. Around 40 registered competitors, along with many spectators, came together to support an important humanitarian cause through the love of basketball.

Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and donors, a total of $3,926.00 was raised. The funds will be used to support the Bižić family from Šid, Serbia, who are living in difficult social circumstances.

The winners of the three-point shooting competition were:

1. Đorđe Sušić
2. Veljko Dobrilović
3. Vlado Satarić

The top three teams in the 3-on-3 basketball tournament were:

1. Brandomania
2. Otter – Vidra
3. Piece of Cake

One of the highlights of the event was the charity auction of a signed jersey donated by Serbian national basketball player Bogdan Bogdanović, who joined the initiative by supporting this humanitarian campaign. His contribution added even more significance to an already memorable day.

A special thank you goes to all volunteers and young people who dedicated their time and energy to preparing the courts and organizing the event, as well as to every participant, sponsor, donor, and supporter who helped make this tournament another great success.
